The Chad Greenwald Trio, formed in late 2009 consists of Ohio’s finest talent. Featuring Christopher Brown on piano, Chad Greenwald on bass, and Nathan Parker on percussion, this all-star group is a driving force in the underground jazz scene. Developing out of the Ohio State University’s prestigious School of Music in 2002, Chad and Christopher acquired a musical kinship that has developed over the last decade. With performances in jazz expanding throughout the nation, this group has become a force whose reach is only growing exponentially. In October 2012, the Chad Greenwald Trio, will be recording its first full-length album, and plans to support their album in Europe and Asia. Although, the tenure of this trio has only been a short two years, they have been able to perform for heads of state, major corporations, and local celebrities.

    This list includes:
    -President William Jefferson Clinton
    -Democratic National Chairman Tim Kaine
    -Governor Ted Strickland (Ohio)
-President Gordon Gee (The Ohio State University)
    -Turner Construction
    -Nestle Corporation
    -Mettler Toledo
    -American Heart Association
    -Red Cross
    -March of Dimes
    -McDonald’s
    -Les Wexner (Limited Brands)
-Jay Schottenstein (American Eagle, DSW, Schottenstein's)
    -Ernst and Young
    -4H Clubs of America
    -Plus, many more…

The Chad Greenwald Trio’s soulful arrangements are constructed (as well as deconstructed) in the jazz idiom, and have broken down the walls of traditional convention. This never-ending conquest of creation has led them to a large, uncompromising body of work.

Simply put, they believe music is emotion. This belief in the cathartic nature of music has led to them to the forefront of a new instrumental music movement, and into a whole new genre of what is considered “jazz”.
